This song is an energetic hip-hop track inspired by the Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham for silently pointing her finger at Phoenix Mercury player DeWanna Bonner for an unbroken 22 seconds during a June, 2026 game.
In a world where the truth is often twisted
Sophie stands firm, her courage enlisted
Five words, lights bright, critics cringe
'Common sense,' she said, a pointed pledge
Athlete with honor, she won’t retract
Protecting the future, keeping the facts intact
Against the outside noise, she’s a warrior tall
Defending girls' sports, she takes the call
[Chorus]
Wannabe funny like Sophie
Wannabe pretty like Sophie
Wannabe crazy like Sophie
Wannabe tall like Sophie
Wannabe confident like Sophie
But I don’t want to be pointed at by Sophie
[Verse 2]
Caitlin’s in a tangle but Sophie stands clear
No trash-talking can shake her, she’s all ears
Not political but truth is her creed
In a court of chaos, her heart leads
Indiana stands with her, through thick and thin
A beacon of strength, let the games begin
Sophie Fever’s rising, she’s the spark
Lighting up the court, leaving her mark
[Chorus]
Wannabe funny like Sophie
Wannabe pretty like Sophie
Wannabe crazy like Sophie
Wannabe tall like Sophie
Wannabe confident like Sophie
But I don’t want to be pointed at by Sophie
[Verse 3]
Against critics, her silence speaks loud
A finger point lasting as the crowd goes wild
With Sophie Fever burning across the land
She’s a champion in heart, taking a stand
For the girls of tomorrow, she leads today
Her voice echoing back what’s fair play
In the face of adversity, she stays immune
Sophie, the guardian under the hoops’ tune
[Final Chorus]
Wannabe funny like Sophie
Wannabe pretty like Sophie
Wannabe crazy like Sophie
Wannabe tall like Sophie
Wannabe confident like Sophie
But I don’t want to be pointed at by Sophie
